    I haven't posted anything in 52 weeks.

I had a dream last night where I went to play laser tag with my family (some extended family as well) at this big place...more crowded and noisy then Good Times, but no smoking.  I was lagging behind a little, and I was with someone, some other family member.  On my way to the Laser tag entrance (you had to go through the food place first) Little Man was having a birthday party.  All those friends that I haven't seen in far too long were there.  Elana, Sylvia...I can't remember now who else was there, but I remember there were like 20 people or so, though they kind of represented everyone.  I talked with them for a bit and my family member that was with me got a little anxious, telling me we had to go or we'd loose the others.  Hans's mother and grandmother were there, and they both gave me huge hugs and kisses.  A little after that a few tables down this black woman I didn't recognize was calling after me, smiling like she couldn't believe I was real.  I ran up to her and she picked me up and gave me this huge hug...I didn't know who she was, but I knew that I knew her.  I was trying to figure out who she was when she told her sister, "get _____, he'll love to see Natalie" I saw the boy around my age...he had zits all over and a few chicken pox marks from when he'd scratched them off and they'd left an indent.  We kind of awkwardly hugged because it was obvious neither of us remembered each other.  Much later I realized I'd been friends with the boy when I was 5.
It got a little hazy after that, but I remember rushing with my family member to try and catch up with the rest of the family.  Then I kind of stopped and said, "Tell them I can't play right now...I'll meet back up with them later". And I went back towards Little Man's birthday party.  They were out of sight now, but when I got back to where there table had been, no one was there.  I asked the people in the other tables if they knew where they had gone, but no one even knew that they had existed.  I realized I was alone in this huge place without my wallet or my cell phone.  I couldn't remember what floor my family had parked in at the parking garage or anything...
Some guys started leering at me, and that’s when I woke up.

I don't really know why I wrote down that dream...but I guess what struck me about it is that I chose my friends over my family.  Which I didn't expect out of myself.  At all.
That, and I REALLY REALLY miss all those people that truly do care about me and love me.
I want to see my friends again, but I don't even have the phone numbers for 70% of them.

    NC here I come!
After 3-4 years of trying, I am FINALLY going to North Carolina!

How did I finally do it you might ask? I have very little to no clue.

I'll be down there visiting my amor, my wonderful, and fantastic Drew (YAY!) as well as his fantastic friends which I have heard so much about. Also, I'll get to see Winston-Salem, and all those kooky places everyone keeps telling me of. And, at last, I'll finally be able to say, "Yea, I've been to North Carolina". You know, you'd be surprised how much one hears about a state as random as NC. I usually see or hear it at least once a day. If it's not being mentioned on the radio/online/on TV, it's the place where the pencil someone lends me was made, and if it's not that, I'll bump into someone from there. It's very, VERY odd.

    Well, North Carolina...Here I come!

Oh, I also thought I might jot down some of my impressions BEFORE I go, so I can realize how ridiculous they were once I come back.

    1) In the summer, it rains hard about once a day, usually around the middle of said day.
    2) Most people there have a southern accent--this is not to be confused with most southern accents because it isn't quite so drawn out as, say, Alabama. For the most part it is comprehensible and being as I have been around it for so long I have learned words not previously known to me such as "woot". (In reference to woot, I'm starting to think it's not just a southern thing, that or I've said it enough to get my friends to start too...)
    3) Lots of people have porches
    4) There are no real untamed forests in Winston-Salem
    5) Just about everything is uphill in Winston
    6) There is an odd type of weed that grows on the side of the highway.
    7) Metal Rebel is a bar/..err...hang out place where concerts are held...I think.
    8) Borders is a hang out place for people in the mid-teens
    9) People eat something called 'Grits' here...similar to oatmeal, but smaller grains...kinda
    10) CVS is not in NC. Starbucks may or may not be on every corner. Duncan Donuts is for a great part MISSING.
    11) Cheerwine-by far the most delicious stuff to come from the South. I will be bringing a few bottles home.
    12) Road signs are actually legible
    13) "straight" actually means straight when talking about the road
    14) The people of NC are better drivers
    15) A lot of guys have long hair
    16) Art is everywhere in Winston-Salem
    17) The sidewalks have the rounded edge instead or the corner edge
    18) The roads are about the same size or wider then in Lexington.
    19) Lots of places are open 24hours.
    20) Tango is just as cute or cuter then Stumpy.

    Library Nap
Soooo....Today, I fell asleep in the school library during my freeblock because I had nothing better to do and I was tired...and erm, I didn't wake up for my next class. So I slept through semiotics, then I ran down to my guidance counslor and told him what had happened. He excused me, the world is good.

Also, Note to Em *SNARL* damn you and not getting your forms in!
